Use your University of Redlands login and password to log in to Windows on library lending devices.

When you check out a library laptop for the first time, you'll need to connect to the UOR wireless network and log in to Windows to set up your local profile on the laptop. This can take up to 15 minutes. We recommend that you do this before leaving the library so we can provide assistance if needed.

To connect to the UOR network:

1. From the Windows login screen, click the round globe icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to bring up the menu of available wireless networks.

2. Select the UOR network. Uncheck the box marked Connect Automatically and click Connect

3. Uncheck the box marked Use my Windows login account. Enter your Redlands username (firstname_lastname) and password and click OK

4. When you see the "Continue connecting?" prompt, click OK to accept a necessary security certificate and finish connecting to the network.

Now that you're connected, log in to Windows:

1. If this is your first time logging in to this device, select "Other User" from the menu at the bottom left corner of the Windows login screen.

2. Enter your Redlands username (firstname_lastname) and password and click OK

3. Windows will download your user profile and finish setting up the computer. This may take up to 15 minutes the first time that you're logging in on this device. After this setup is complete, you can log in to the computer on or off campus and use it away from the UOR wireless network.
